Simms Ribbon Cutting – The Townes at Wright Dunbar
We’re officially open!
The Townes at Wright Dunbar model home is officially open!

Robi and Crosby Simms held a ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening of their model home in early June. This newest community, named The Townes at Wright Dunbar will consist of 26 all brick 3-story townhomes in the Wright Dunbar neighborhood in Dayton, OH. Dayton Mayor, Jeffrey Mims Jr. and Dayton City Manager, Shelley Dickstein were invited to attend along with other city commissioners. We want to thank everyone that came out to see what we’ve been working on for the past year. The event was well attended by community leaders, Simms subcontractors, and other trade partners from the area.

With 3 homes already sold, Simms is looking forward to filling up the first building along W. Third St. The second building already has two homes sold in it, expecting completion by September/October of this year. The Aviator floor plan offers plenty of room with a massive two-car insulated garage, 2 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Both full baths are ensuite to each bedroom, making it perfect for guests. The stylish fireplace can be replicated if you so choose, Simms does plumb each fireplace wall with a gas line if you would like to add one in the future.
If you have not been to tour this model, we invite you to do so. We are open Tuesday – Thursday 12-6 and Friday & Saturday 12-5pm.

The first building along W. Third Street pays homage to the former Gem City Ice Cream Co. building that once stood in the same place. With a storied history themselves, Simms wanted to not only create new homes in the area, but create the same type of building that is suitable for the neighborhood for decades to come.
